Remnant Revival - Day 1

Amos answered Amaziah, “I was neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet, but I was a shepherd, and I also took care of sycamore-fig trees. But the LORD took me from tending the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to my people Israel.'"

Amos 7:14-15

The prophet Amos lived among a group of shepherds in a small town. He made it clear in his writings that he did not come from a family of prophets, nor did he even consider himself one. He had no training, no education and no experience. Rather, he was “a grower of sycamore figs,” as well as a shepherd. But God called Amos to be a prophet.

Do you know that God’s call is on your life? You are called to be salt and light to those around you. The call of God is not just for a select few but for everyone! Like Amos, nothing is required, no prior training, education or experience is needed when he calls you. In fact, God likes to call the unlikely, unqualified and unpopular. If you feel like you're not enough, you're perfect! You can rely on the one who is more than enough! Will you answer the call?

Today, be attentive to the opportunities around you. Ask the Holy Spirit to empower you to accomplish God's specific purpose in your life. You are destined to do more. Say "yes" to all he has called you to be!
