It's Worth the Wait – Day 4

We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

Hebrews 6:12

David’s life had been upended: he lost his position, lost his job, lost his livelihood and lost his friend. He was separated from his wife and constantly in danger of losing his life. Over the years, he patiently waited for God even while being treated unfairly. Yet he recovered it all -- through faith and patience.

When we face trials and adversity, how should we respond? We can have the faith and develop patience. Patience happens when we keep our eyes on God and trust him -- through all circumstances. It involves steadfastness and endurance -- refusing to quit or give up. Difficulty doesn't prevent us but prepares us for God's calling.
Great people aren't born but developed. Spend time in prayer, allowing God's word to fill you with fresh perspective. Remind yourself of his promises. You may be in a difficult circumstance, but God could be preparing you for something greater!
