WANTING OUT // OCTOBER 19, 2020
He asked the Lord, “Why have you brought this trouble on your servant? What have I done to displease you that you put the burden of all these people on me? ... I cannot carry all these people by myself; the burden is too heavy for me. If this is how you are going to treat me, please go ahead and kill me.”
Moses was done! He had had enough and he wanted out. ¡No más!
Have you ever had a no mas moment? Tired of fighting, tired of struggling, tired of getting blindsided — ready to throw up your hands and walk away. I can’t do THIS anymore. Not another blow, not another battle, not another round. ¡¡¡No más!!!
If this is where you are at you are in good company. Moses, Job, Elijah, Peter — there are lots of folks in the Bible who had their moment when they wanted out. Yet each one of them ended up finishing well. This week we are going to look at how to to keep going even when you feel like you can't do this anymore. For today though, we are going to begin by just acknowledging where we are at. Is life going great? Is it a bit meh? Are you struggling? Wherever you are God is big enough to meet you in your moment. Talk it out with him today. Be real. Be honest. Then get ready for him to speak into your life this week.
