Different Destiny - Day 1

Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.

Daniel 6:3

Daniel was well along in years when a new king came into power. Despite everything that was against him he was once again promoted to a place of authority because he distinguished himself from his peers by his exceptional qualities.

In the midst of the pandemic many people feel like the odds have been stacked against them. There is the temptation to be "dissed" — disappointed, dissatisfied, disgruntled, disoriented, etc. But we can choose a different "dis". Each of us have been gifted by God in unique and exceptional ways. When we develop these gifts God empowers us to do incredible things despite the challenges that come our way. This distinguishes us according to our exceptional qualities.

Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." Wow! You are a masterpiece — a one of a kind! God has also planned good things for you to do with your life. Today, reflect on this verse in your journal and what it means for you to distinguish yourself on behalf of his kingdom.
