BE STILL AND CHILL // MAY 20, 2020
Just before dawn Paul urged them all to eat. "For the last fourteen days," he said, "you have been in constant suspense and have gone without food—you haven’t eaten anything. Now I urge you to take some food. You need it to survive. Not one of you will lose a single hair from his head."
The storm had raged on for two weeks! There was fear and panic and no one was eating. Yet, Paul stood up and encouraged them all to eat. He challenged them to stop panicking over the situation and start trusting God. God had promised to get them through the storm.
This pandemic may have caused a huge storm in your life. Your relationships may be battered by the stress of quarantine. Your bank account may have taken a direct hit. Emotionally, you may be exhausted. Yet, despite all this, God is faithful. Choose trust over panic. Take your worries to Him; He cares for you!
Today, meditate on this scripture and let Jesus carry your load.
"Does worry add anything to your life? Can it add one more year, or even one day? So if worrying adds nothing, but actually subtracts from your life, why would you worry about God’s care of you?" (Luke 12:25-26, TPT)
