Not Normal - Day 2

When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.

Psalm 27:2

David may have written this Psalm before he was anointed king -- during the season when he was an exile, and King Saul and his trained assassins were hunting him. He faced a real-life enemy and great danger! In the midst of this reality, he did not ask God why he had enemies. He did not question why this was happening to him. Instead, he was confident of God's protection and sure it would be his enemies who stumbled and went down.

When we face challenges, it is so easy to question God. WHY?!, we cry out! Why are my finances taking this hit? Why are my relationships under attack? What if we stopped asking why? What if we chose to look past the danger and proclaim a David confidence? This may not be a normal response, but we are not normal. We have a Father who we can trust.

He is YOUR defender! What are you facing? What enemy is coming against you? Despite extreme difficulty and severe danger, you can be confident. God will fight for you! Your enemies will be defeated. Take time to journal on this today ending with a declaration of faith.
