LOOK OUT // FEBRUARY 16, 2021
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
The catalyst for healthy relationships is a humble heart that looks out for the interests of other people above one's own interests.
One of the main reasons we get annoyed with people is because we are not getting our way or they are not doing what we want them to do. Going through life putting ourselves first leads to battles in our families, jobs and churches. However, when our focus shifts from ourselves to others, everything changes.
Humility is heavenly. It doesn't mean the other person is better than you. It doesn't mean their needs are more important than your needs. It doesn't mean that your interests don't matter. It just means LOOK OUT, not in! Don't think less of yourself; think of yourself less. Whose interests can you look out for today? Spend time praying about this and then do whatever God leads you to do.
