INTEGRITY // FEBRUARY 22, 2021
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed — not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence...
Even in Paul's absence, when no one was watching, the Philippians were obedient to the word of God.
There is a connection between obedience and outcome. Many times we are praying for an outcome but we are not being obedient to what God has told us to do. God is not expecting us to be perfect, but he is expecting us to have integrity. Integrity is when our public self matches our private self.
What do you do when no one is watching? What are you doing when you are on the clock for work but working from home? What are you looking at when you are on your computer late at night? Those little secrets can hinder your progress. In fact, the secret to sustainable success is not having secrets. Everyone does not need to know everything about you, but someone needs to know. Who do you have in your life that supports you in your integrity? If the answer is no one, then ask God to help you find someone. Groups are a great place to support these types of relationships. If you are struggling with a secret addiction we have support groups to walk with you into freedom. Please do not hesitate to reach out!
