Environment & Effort – Day 1

... and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus.

Acts 9:19

Saul wanted to kill Christians until he had an encounter with God and found himself blind. After Ananias laid hands on him so he could see again, Saul spent time with the disciples. Why? He needed to learn how to live out a life after a God encounter.

Our faith journey starts with discovering Jesus as our Lord and Savior, but it's not just about a vertical relationship with God. It's also about a horizontal relationship with people. We can't see a future we can get to on our own. God transforms us, and he uses people to do it. If we quickly go back to our old friends, we'll also quickly go back to our old ways. We don't have to abandon our old crew, but we do want to embrace our new tribe.

An old environment can't create and cultivate a new you. Church is a place to belong and a place to become. If you're living in old, you can't expect a new thing. Like Saul, after a God encounter, you need to shift your environment. He wants to use right relationships to help you live out a life with him. Let us help you connect to your new tribe; it's not what we want from you, it's what we want for you!
